A collaboration among AIA New York, the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York and Town+Gown, this event will look back at completed design collaborations in three distinct areas—engineering in design, design academia in the local economy and design in government—in order to focus attention at the future of design in New York City. Samantha MacBride, Assistant Professor, School of Public Affairs, Baruch College, City University of New York in collaboration with the AIANY/Center for Architecture and Public Policy Lab presents in association with Archtober, Architecture and Design Month, New York City: Policy, Meet Design.
MFA Interaction Design faculty Rachel Abrams and Roger Mader will be panelists in a discussion on 10 Things Public Policy Analysts Should Know about Design + 10 Things Designers Should Know about Public Policy, moderated by David Giles, Research Director, Center for Urban Future.
This event is free for AIA members and students with a valid student ID; $10 non-members.
