A Semester in Review: Project: Interaction at EdLab

Project: Interaction co-founders Carmen Dukes and Katie Koch gave a seminar talk last week at EdLab, a research, design, and development unit at Teachers College at Columbia University. To an audience of some forty educators, designers, and strategists, the duo shared their story—from inspiration and research, to a week-by-week review of classes, and finally, lessons learned from their ten weeks of teaching.

They closed their talk with a quote from Jason Santa Maria, “Get things out of your head and into someone else’s,” and Koch noting:

“This is kind of our mantra from one of our own mentors… We really feel like that’s the core of what we’re doing with Project: Interaction. We have all these thoughts. We have all these ideas, and we want to share them with young people who are interested so that they’re not just living within us but can live on and grow without us.”
