Faculty Carla Diana, who teaches Smart Objects, has been at work on a new kind of book. Today, she announced LEO the Maker Prince, a kids’ story book with downloadable objects. The book features a series of objects that appear as photos on the pages but can be downloaded so that readers can 3D print them and have them in their hands as they read.
From the book site:
LEO the Maker Prince teaches children (both young and old) about 3D printing by following Carla and LEO's journey through Brooklyn. LEO is a walking, talking robot who happens to be able to print (in plastic) any object that Carla draws.

Congratulations, Carla!
