Introducing Typekit

Something exciting comes this way. After much discussion on fonts, css, and the future of web design as we know it, comes Typekit. Jeffrey Veen’s Small Batch Inc. works with faculty member Jason Santa Maria to introduce a novel concept for online font distribution that is long due.

We’ve built a technology platform that lets us to host both free and commercial fonts in a way that is incredibly fast, smoothes out differences in how browsers handle type, and offers the level of protection that type designers need without resorting to annoying and ineffective DRM.”
