Student and Faculty Projects Featured on Kickstarter Curated Pages

Three projects from MFA Interaction Design students and faculty are among those showcased by SVA in Kickstarter’s new Curated Pages. From a piece in NYTimes:

Kickstarter, the Web site that helps people raise money for their creative projects, from films to restaurants, has introduced a new feature: pages that have been “curated” by arts organizations, schools, media companies, and, in one case, a city.

With “Designers or Explorers…” first-year student Erin Moore hopes to visit homes, local schools, and village communities in Pakistan to document new stories and perspectives. Faculty member Carla Diana’s “Melody Man“ is a friendly, hand-held robot character and the world’s first electronically-activated designer toy. The successfully funded “Project: Interaction,” as well as creative endeavors from other graduate programs kicked off the SVA curated page.
