My dream to teach design is finally coming true this Saturday and I am excited as well as anxious. Last Friday, Beth and I met up with Sam Potts to get final review on our Graphic Design 101: Color Your Work. We presented out flow in a messy but beautiful whiteboard writing. After discussing the syllabus, we decided to focus on using color as a tool for designers. The basic color theory is definitely a good tools to have for any graphic design work, but what is more important is understanding the content of the design and using the color to describe and enhance the story. We are planning on fun exercises that will lead to a better understanding of what color is. In the end, we will tie the idea back to using color in web projects.
