How have politics shaped Federal Emergency Management Agency over time?
Hurricane Sandy hit just two weeks before the presidential election, and resulted in a flurry of media attention focused on government disaster relief. We wanted to know: how political is a disaster? Our goal was to understand the role of government during a crisis, and how FEMA has been shaped by politics over time.
