[D]istills a simple lesson about typography and time, but for me it’s more than that. I hope to teach by changing the way my students see and understand typography. I don’t want to fill them up will rules and information, though they certainly get those tools. I want them to think about type in terms of time, sequence, and experience and not in terms of aesthetics. Though I’ve struggled with the form that these videos will take, I’m satisfied with this result and will fashion a suite of videos called “Bringhurst Series.” Bringhurst’s canonical text about typography is the book that I use to teach my class. There will be various suites of videos which will stylistically reflect the content.
