Josh Sucher and Marcelo Mejia Cobo – “Thither”

Noticing that, when using the New York City subway, it is easy to lose orientation and sense of place, Matthew Brigante proposed a project for the Subway which allows train riders to be connected to the outside world through the “Google” window. Hanna Yoon’sMetro Ar-t” project also uses the subway as its scene. “Metro Ar-t” features the work of New York City artists on a medium that has never been explored before: a MetroCard. With the Metro AR-T app, any MetroCard can transform into a digitally interactive gallery with the help of innovative augmented reality technology.
