Michael Tranquilli, MA, OTR/L, is a private practice Occupational Therapy clinician specializing in the rehabilitation of adults with neurological, orthopedic, and musculo-skeletal impairments. As an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Occupational Therapy at New York University, Michael educates students in rehabilitation evaluation and intervention strategies, and, analysis of human activity and occupational performance. He served as a disability advisor for the NYU Ability Project’s collaboration with the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum to further advance inclusive and assistive technologies at historic sites and museums across the country. Michael is a research fellow and brand ambassador at Open Style Lab, creating accessible wearable solutions that address the needs of people with disabilities. Consulting with the Universal Design Project, he helps develop construction & design guidelines for universally accessible homes. Michael is also an Occupational Therapy advisor at the award-winning international design studio, Sour.
