Paul McConnell

Bio

Paul is a strategy and innovation leader focused on using design methods and
technology to solve human, business, and built environment challenges. He guides
clients and multidisciplinary teams toward breakthrough solutions that take shape in
digital products, services, and physical spaces.

Paul has led digital design departments at Intersection (a subsidiary of Sidewalk
Labs/Alphabet), in Arup’s Advanced Digital Engineering Group, and with numerous
organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He is a founding
partner at Noble, a MBE certified business focusing on user centered methods and
emerging technology to transform the built environment.

With over twenty years of experience, he has established advisory and digital product
design practices while leading award-winning efforts for cultural institutions, civic
services, and property clients. Notable assignments include Alphabet, The Museum of
Modern Art, Victoria and Albert Museum, Port Authority of NY/NJ, MTA Subway Digital
Signage, Chicago Transit Authority, Alphabet, Samsung Electronics and LinkNYC. Paul
served on the Board of Directors for SEGD, an international organization for
environmental and experience design, and is an associate professor at Pratt Institute
and the School of Visual Arts.
