Bio

Brooke Viegut is a narrative-driven experience designer, audience-centric theater maker, design critic, donut connoisseur, collector of silly little things, and the creative lead at for.play.

Working at the intersection of play, community, ephemerality, and radical joy, their multidisciplinary approach has created work for audiences of 30 to 3,000. Past collaborators include Tribeca Film Festival, Emursive/The McKittrick Hotel (home of Sleep No More), 3D Tech Fest, Virgin Voyages, National Audubon Society, and Historic Hudson Valley among others.

Brooke’s current research, Anonymous Intimacy, explores the impact of trauma-informed design on audience experience in live entertainment. Their writing has been seen in Museum of 21st Century Design, PRINT Magazine, UX Magazine, International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam and DHub Barcelona.

Brooke holds an MA in Design Research, Writing, and Criticism from the School of Visual Arts, and BA in Directing from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.
