Erica Heinz

Bio

Erica is a UX and product design consultant focused on social change through technology. She has helped strategize, design, and launch initiatives at The New York Times, ProPublica, Foreign Affairs, the Council on Foreign Relations, Sahana Software Foundation, and the Gates Foundation.

She also works and volunteers with startups and grassroots groups (such as CreativeMornings, TurnTo, Occupy Sandy, Riffle, The B Team, Hollaback!, and Black Girls Code) to help them visualize, organize, and grow.

She taught Interaction Design at Parsons from 2014-2016, and helped launch the Masters program in Digital Product Design in 2017. She also developed a popular Skillshare series on Prototyping for the Web.

Erica has a BFA in Graphic Design from Washington University in St. Louis and lives in Brooklyn.
