Infertility treatment has risen by 25% over the past five years in the United States alone. There are so many theories on why infertility is on the rise. But the factor that is the most overlooked in regards to infertility is not physical or environmental, it is mental: stress. The Lonely Porcupine is a tool that helps provide a source of comfort for women currently undergoing infertility treatment. It connects women through a social object, disrupts women's daily routines, and aids in nourishing the mind-body connection.
