Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, Uijun has always been excited about solving problems with creative thinking that eventually improves people’s everyday life experience. To be more specific, his interests include better understanding about user needs in addition to expanding knowledge in prototyping and designing products or services.
While majoring in Industrial Design at Handong University, Uijin was deeply inspired by an idea that designers must take multiple aspects into consideration comprehensively in that people easily make mistakes when encountered design problems. From then on, he has been putting his energy into acquiring skills and knowledge in basic and advanced design methods for grasping human anatomy, behavior, and interaction. Upon graduation, he worked several years in a mobile phone manufacturer, Pantech, as an User Interface designer.
Now, he is thrilled to continue this journey at SVA and looks forward to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Students are curious and imaginative experimenters who come from fields from graphic design and industrial design, social science and research, engineering and computer science, film and architecture, and many more.
