Fang received a Bachelor of Engineering in material science and engineering, after which she studied finance and insurance at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing's graduate school. Fang’s research on the development of long-term care insurance introduced her to intelligent devices used to support home care of the elderly. She soon came to believe that a systematic intelligent device with a truly human-oriented purpose was the ideal combination of technology and business to meet the individual needs of every person.
After finishing school, Fang worked for China Women’s Development Foundation as a designer to improve their user experience and working efficiency. Captivated by the study of people, Fang decided to become a cross-border interaction designer to solve daily problems and make people's lives better.
