Hyelim believes that user experience is the essence of design. She is interested in designing for people from different regions, cultures, and traditions. She has spent three and a half years working with colors, materials, and texture as a design researcher at an interior furniture company. While designing both objects that people utilize daily as well as the physical spaces they use, Hyelim found herself intrigued by the observation of people and the attempt to understand their interactions.

In her free time she loves to do pilates, attend art exhibits, and travel to suburban areas.
