Celebriplicity is a speculative future project. As more of life is conducted online, companies are able to create data profiles of their consumers at a level of detail not previously possible. This data is then used to create more customized offerings to the customers. We explore what this hyper-customized world might look like through the lens of celebrity, focusing on how the objectification of all parties involved creates a new feedback cycle at an accelerated pace. We chose this scenario because it lends itself well to extrapolation on what an everyday world rooted in extreme customization could look like in the future.
