Paul Ford is a writer, editor, programmer, and co-founder of Postlight. He writes about technology for publications like New York Magazine, the New York Times Magazine, Slate, Bloomberg Businessweek, Wired, and Print. He was an editor for Harper's Magazine for many years. As a programmer he works in PHP, Perl, Python, Java, and XSLT, and he brought Harper's 160-year archive to the web, roping together millions of files as architect, programmer, and designer. He was a Director at the strategy consulting firm Activate, and advises many startups. He lives in Brooklyn and is writing a big book about how web pages create culture.
