M. Marin Mendoza


Marin is the Communications and Project Coordinator for the MFA in Interaction Design Program. Marin also works part-time as a Social Media and Marketing Assistant as well as a Public Relations Professor at St. John’s University in Queens. She is a double alum of St. John’s, having graduated summa cum laude on an accelerated track from their Communication Arts program in 2020 and their Integrated Advertising program in 2021. During her time at St. John’s, she participated heavily in academic service-learning, running a pro-bono student advertising agency for nonprofits and small businesses, career counseling her peers, and developing campaigns and content strategy projects to help nonprofit organizations both domestically and abroad.

Prior to her work in marketing and communications for higher education, she spent a year in Washington D.C. working as a Public Affairs Specialist for the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence.

Marin is driven by her endless curiosity, unwavering determination, and a deep passion for people. In her work, she aims to embrace the intersection of research-based insight and creative strategy to truly understand what inspires people to connect and take action.
