Designing for Everybody
At ixD, our graduates design for millions of people with varying backgrounds, abilities, and preferences. The best designers look at their work from as many perspectives as possible, knowing every user will interact with what they make differently.
Our website provides a glimpse into that process, with each page incorporating different inclusive and accessible design features. If you see a section with a purple plus sign like the one to the left of this paragraph, click on it to learn how the page might appear to different people. Go ahead and try it yourself!
For example, visually impaired people often rely on audio screen readers to browse web pages. People with mobility impairments may prefer using their keyboard over a mouse. To encourage well-rounded, thoughtful design, we've incorporated these (and more) experiences across the site. Click around and discover how many of us experience the web.
