Faculty and Alumni up for Webby Awards – Vote Now!

This year’s Webby Award nominees have been announced and among the nominees are IxD faculty and alumni.

The Webby Awards are the leadinginternational award honoring excellence on the internetincluding Websites, Online Film & Video, Advertising, Mobile Sites &Apps and Social.

Faculty Paul Ford’s 38,000-word mega essayfor Bloomberg Business Week titled “What is Code?” is up for two awards: Best Individual Editorial Experience and Best Writing (Editorial).

Class of 2011 alumni Gene Lu’s “Run Wars”,where he details his Star Wars themed running routes, was nominated in the Websites – Weird category, while Class of 2013 TonyChu’s “A Visual Introduction to Machine Learning” is nominated in the Websites – Science. Also up for a Webby is Class of 2013 alumni Barbara deWilde whose website “Cooking with the New York Times” is in the Mobile Sites & Apps – Food & Drink category.
