Born in the US and raised in Hong Kong, Janel is an interaction designer with experience in product innovation, industrial design, and product design. Upon graduation, from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, she joined Zixag as a bag designer where she successfully launched two collections before beginning work for startup Casetify. There she focused on customized tech accessories.

At SVA, Janel is excited to combine her industrial design background with interaction design to truly communicate with users physically, digitally, and emotionally. She hopes to find ways to create products that can translate the intuitive interaction between humans and the environment.
