Deborah Koo

Class of 2016

Bio

Deborah is a designer, marketer, and entrepreneur who appreciates solutions that meld the practical with the aesthetic to deliver positive and memorable user experiences. Holding degrees from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and Parsons The New School of Design, she approaches projects with both a business and a design perspective.

She began her career at Johnson & Johnson marketing brands such as TYLENOL® Upper Respiratory, ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses, and IMODIUM®. While there, she discovered her eye for design and passion for the consumer.  Seeking to unite her creative and business interests, she earned a Certificate in Graphic Design from Parsons The New School for Design, worked as an independent graphic designer and launched her stationery business.

Deborah is excited to expand her skill set by studying interaction design at SVA.  She plans to apply the knowledge to create user experiences on a holistic basis, addressing all consumer touch points from the digital to the physical environment.  She also looks forward to exploring the city and being inspired by all of its different facets!
