Since graduating in 2005 with his BFA in Art and Technology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Jennings has been working for a visual communications firm in Oklahoma. Although the firm is small; only two full time employees, they have produced integrated, progressive, and impactful campaigns for their clients. This includes the creation of product catalogs, web sites, search engine solutions, advertising and video. From this, Jennings has learned how to deal with clients, come to the realization that he is expected to not only excel at his craft of building, designing, and maintaining marketing solutions but to also understand the clients product, their audience therein, and the brand narrative that glues it all together.
By attending the Interaction Design MFA program at the School of Visual Arts, Jennings looks to advance his knowledge in concepting and building these types of solutions. His fascinations with storytelling and problem solving have set the foundation. He wishes to show that through design and storytelling we can turn complex systems into simple ones, and by integrating these ideas and technologies into communities we can analyze and in turn reflect on a strategic and responsive goal. Through this conversion, we will have the ability to build a more constructive dialog in which to make change possible and help create a stronger interaction with the world we inhabit.
