Born on the East Coast and raised in the California Bay Area, April ventured out to the midwest to study at Northwestern University, where she studied Digital Media Communications and Cognitive Science.

Through college and after graduation, April worked in a variety of fields including branding, advertising, and marketing design, but eventually found herself drawn to interaction design for its meaningful focus on users and their needs and emotions. She’s especially interested in the intersection of visual and user experience design, and how it can be utilized to more seamlessly integrate technology into peoples’ lives.

In her free time, you can find April taking photos, cooking, playing tennis, and teaching her dog new tricks.
