A lifelong artist and designer, Hillary recognizes Interaction Design as the juncture where her need to create meets her passion to connect with and understand people.

A New York City native, Hillary earned her BFA in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology—an experience she considers her introduction to user-centered disciplines. Her time designing for the built environment taught her to account for the behavioral, psychological, and social considerations of users to inform the functionality, aesthetic enrichment, and psychological enhancement of the quality of life within a space.

In pivoting to marketing, she gained experience at a leading exhibition design firm, where she was introduced to the magic of interactive learning experiences in educational and cultural institutions. This opportunity allowed her to realize that her passion lies at the intersection of design and thoughtful technology; fueled by the objective to mitigate some of the world’s most pressing issues, including those of health, social justice, and sustainability.

As an interaction designer, Hillary strives to create emotionally resonating experiences through the use of empathetic, ethical, and inclusive design.
